What I dig about MS, is that I can create what I want to see on the screen.Ībleton is super cluttered as far as the GUI goes. In the end, I'd say the prep work for preparing loops is about the same. In Ableton, you have to make sure the warp markers are correct for every loop you bring in. If you want loops to play in time, you have to run your loops through Apple Loop Utility first.

The FCB has the capability of 100 presets.Mainstage requires a lot of prep work. I have also just started playing with Mainstage at home and was hoping to augment my system with it. I never really felt the need for the expression pedals as they alway seems to go out of calibration so I simply removed them and replaced them with 2 sustain pedals wired to 1/4" jacks I added to the 1010 that plug into my two controllers. I have been using an FCB1010 for some time now for use with a Roland Sonic Cell to do Program changes for multiple Performances and has been very easy and straightforward.
